Arak, Oct 30, IRNA -- Deputy Minister of Interior for law enforcement
and Security Ali Asghar Ahmadi said here Wednesday the public support
for the government is "stronger than nuclear arms".
Ahmadi who was speaking in a gathering of officials in Arak said
Iran`s Islamic system is indebted to the masses for all the successes
and achievements it has gained since the Islamic Revolution in 1979.
He called on the Iranians to give their support to the system. If
officials try to meet the demands and needs of the public, they would
continue to be present, even more active than before, in all scenes
of the Islamic Revolution.
The enemies of Islam and Revolution have pinned hope on the
differences and discrepancies inside the country so as to be able
to fish in troubled waters and realize their evil aims and objectives.
He called for means and measures to develop the efficiency of the
government and urged the people to more actively cooperate with the
government to contribute to the prosperity of the country.
However, he said the officials had better introduce to the people
the achievements gained by the system adding that informing the public
of the successes achieved both at the internal and external levels
would make people more hopeful of the brilliant future.
He stressed the important role of the religious faith in
countering the threats posed by the Islamic Iran`s arch-foes and was
pleased over the great achievements of the Islamic system over the
past years in all areas.
Meanwhile, he underlined the need for promoting the rule of law
saying it would contribute to a strong unity and solidarity among the
Iranians.
