نامه ٤٢٠ تن از شخصيتهای علمی و فرهنگی ايران و جهان: خواستار آزادی فوری رامين جهانبگلو هستيم!

ما امضاكنندگان زير خواستار آزادی فوری و بیقيد و شرط پژوهشگر برجسته و روشنفكر مشهور آقای دكتر رامين جهانبگلو میباشيم كه در اوائل ارديبهشت ١٣٨٥ در فرودگاه بينالمللی تهران بازداشت شدهاند. در روز شنبه ١٥ ارديبهشت ١٣٨٥ حجتالاسلام غلامحسين محسنی اژهای بازداشت دكتر جهانبگلو را تاييد نموده اظهار داشتند كه ايشان به اتهام "تماس با بيگانگان" دستگير شدهاند.
نزديك به سه هفته است كه ايشان بدون حكم بازداشت قانونی، تفهيم اتهام، دسترسی به وكيل و يا حتی حق ديدار خانوادهی خود در بازداشتگاه بسر میبرند. بهرهوری از اين حقوق ابتدائی از مقدمات فرايند قانونی است. بازداشت و حبس آقای دكتر جهانبگلو در حكم نقض آشكار قوانين جمهوری اسلامی ايران و بويژه تعهدات آن كشور در مقام يكی از مقام امضاكنندگان منشور بينالمللی حقوق بشر است.
خبر بازداشت دكتر جهانبگلو در مجامع دانشگاهی جهان پيچيده است. دكتر رامين جهانبگلو فيلسوفی پايبند به اصل دوری از خشونت است كه با پشتكاری خستگیناپذير برای تفاهم و تفهم متقابل بين ايران و جهان كوشيده است. او در مقام سرپرست گروه انديشه معاصر در دفتر پژوهشهای فرهنگی، هزاران خواننده، اعم از دانشجو و استاد را با عمق تمدن ايران و رهاوردهای پرآرزش آن برای بشريت آشنا كرده است. كوششهای اين پژوهشگر ارجمند در توضيح و معرفی فرهنگ و تاريخ ايران به جهانيان موجب احترام ژرفی است كه عالم و عامی برای او در جوامع گوناگون و در اقصی نقاط جهان قائلاند. پس جای تعجب نيست كه رفتار فراقانونی اخير با دكتر رامين جهانبگلو در وطنش خوانندگان آثار او در ايران و ساير نقاط جهان را اينچنين دچار حيرت و تاسف كند.
ما برآنيم كه بازداشت دكتر رامين جهانبگلو بايد موجب اقدام سريع جنابعالی و آزادی فوری ايشان گردد.
